Does anyone know why Saban still cares about Alabama football?

I kind of envisioned in my mind, for no reason at all, that when he retired from coaching Alabama, he would probably move to Florida, and would occasionally pop in at our practices to chat with Kirby, and maybe give him some tips. I never envisioned him choosing to live in Tuscaloosa, Alabama while also being rich.

Why is he there to help with NIL? Why is he there to help the new coach? Why is he there to help with recruiting?

He used to coach their arch rival LSU. Does he now all the sudden really care about the Alabama Crimson Tide? I am very confused on it.
