Does anyone remember the Texas Tech game in 1993?

Brutally hot day as I recall. We were 0-2 and Texas Tech wasn't supposed to be that good.... was a struggle all afternoon with absolutely no defense from anyone, and wound up winning something like 51-37.

Spike Dykes was Texas Tech's head coach that year... I didn't realize until recently that he was the father of TCU's coach Sonny Dykes. Spike Dykes was Texas Tech's coach also in 1996 when they came here. That was more memorable given the rain and the close game... it was Donnan's first win.

Back to 1993, one of Texas Tech's better players was a receiver named Lloyd Hill, who was also mentioned several times (though no really featured) in the "Friday Night Lights" book.

Anyway, just curious if anyone remembers that early season game in 1993. Only 30 years later, a then 12th grader would go on to coach in the national title game against the son of the Texas Tech coach.
