It is hard for a lot of us to put ourselves in the shoes of the players. One, because most of us were not collegiate athletes ourselves. And Two, because none of us were/are collegiate athletes born after the year 2000...and kids are different these days.
So, my question is: Does the Orange Bowl matter to the players? Is there a such thing as 'playing for personal, school, or SEC pride'? Do many players view this game as 'a good opportunity for next year's players to get work and impress coaches'?
OR... is this seen as just another game? Good for practice and reps and gifts and memories....but not necessarily all that important in terms of effort and winning? Almost like a Spring Game with cool benefits. Thoughts?
