Seems like every small Georgia town has a "fried chicken" take-out restaurant or at least most did when I was growing up in South Georgia.

Combine those experiences with Sunday after church fried chicken dinners that mama, grandma or the hired helped cooked and we have all some lasting memories

of some of the "best" fried chicken meals we can remember. Getting to my point, last evening I finally was able test-drive Korean fried chicken from the new "bbq Chicken"

franchise nearby. Everything is cooked to order and takes about 20 minutes. I purchased the "Golden original," their #1 seller and was not disappointed. A tad pricey for 8 pieces

but it was amazing. A breast is cut in half and counts as "two pieces," clever marketing for them. Anyway amazingly crispy on the outside and moist on the inside................just like those Sunday

after church dinners. Goodbye to Publix, Kroger, Bojangles and Popeye yard bird, "bbq Chicken" is now my go-too when I'm craving great fried chicken.
