For those who were not at the game last night:
- Charlie Condon did the “Saturday in Athens” voice over
- We honored Charlie Condon with the Golden Spikes Award and Dick Howser Trophy on-field between the first and second quarters (no professors!)
- At the 4th quarter 2 minute timeout, the PA played “The Stroke” by Billy Squier
Tennessee fans think that Christian Moore was robbed of those awards, in addition to SEC POTY, and they also think they were the first fanbase to do the Stroke, two things that are unequivocally not true.
Major props to the game ops dept in the AA last night for that. I’m sure Charlie would rather want a natty than individual awards, but I’m sure it just rubbed salt into the wounds of those entitled, delusional orange hillbillies even more.
