I recorded the simulcast of the Texas A&M film room of our game. Finally got around to watching it and thought it was actually pretty good analysis. Was interesting hearing Coley break down some stuff as well since he was on our staff recently enough to know most of our guys.

Some interesting moments for me:

-Pre-injury they keep noting that Bama was doing a good job of moving Jameson Williams around to make it tough for Georgia to double.

-After the Williams injury the young Bama receivers were consistently lining up incorrectly. They kept noting how #18 Bolden had to keep helping the WR get lined up pre-snap.

-Jimbo noted a ton of questionable decisions by Bryce throughout the game, mainly in spots where Georgia created pressure. He had some open looks he just couldn’t see.

-Coley was saying UGA needs to get George the ball as often as possible. Early in the redzone Bennett looked his way briefly then tried to run and Coley said that’s a ball you have to throw to Pickens as he doesn’t lose 50/50 balls.

-As much as people here were upset with the three run calls before halftime Jimbo thought that was obviously the right thing. He was legit jaw to the floor shocked that Saban didn’t use timeouts there to try and get the ball back.

-The Ringo play where he tries to jump the TE route and he misses but ultimately recovers to tackle him after a huge gain was noted in real time by Jimbo as potentially one of the most important hustle tackles of the game. We held to FG and Jimbo couldn’t have been more complimentary Ringo’s hustle there to save the TD.

-After the Bennett fumble they talked a bit about if UGA should “go to the backup”.

-Jimbo was enamored by Cook. Of course he coached Dalvin and said something along lines of “that Cook DNA is special”. Apparently whatever that run call we had where broke the long one was the first call of that type of run scheme all day.

-Jimbo was FLOORED that UGA was able to “impose their will” on Bama on that final drive that ended in the Bowers TD. Could not have been more complimentary to our finish of the game. Said we definitely earned that.

-They gave massive props to Stetson. Said what he did after the fumble was amazing and shows how high character a guy he is. After pick 6 when they were showing Stetson in tears the entire staff was commenting how awesome that is.

-Very complimentary of Cine all night. Also said Bama straight up won’t have continued success running the ball vs us with the way our DL plays.

All in all was a great watch. I prefer the other format in prior years where it is multiple head coaches in a studio as at times the audio quality was a little poor/mumbly and they’d talk over each other, but listening to Jimbo talk ball was pretty cool.
