Yeah, BUT the majority will STILL bring their stupid left wing politics to the states that they move to and screw those states up like the ones they fled. Just look at Florida, New Hampshire, Virginia, New Mexico, Colorado, North Carolina, Iowa.

It's all relative. I live in one of the wealthiest states in America. Also one of the highest taxed.
Since "Income" is defined by how much a person or family is paid and those on welfare(the able bodied brood sows not the truly disabled) don't have what they get through AFDC, WIC, Free Medical care, Free Housing, and other parasitical transfers of wealth counted as income, it tends to drive down the "Income" statistics in states that do not have much in the way of non Federal Government mega-employment(in the case of my state - Maryland and that of Virginia) and non agriculture industry.
FDR limited welfare(He called it - Relief)to two years lifetime and made the people on it work at public works projects to pay taxpayers back. That should NEVER have been changed. It would make society"Great" whereas the "Great Society" has mostly just created a permanent underclass addicted to handouts and voting democrat(which is precisely what LBJ knew would happen and was exactly what he wanted)

Hoover and FDR got great Hydro-electric projects built to propel the nation into an industrial and agricultural giant. Roads, schools, libraries, sewage systems, irrigation and navigation projects were accomplished along with Federal Buildings that gave taxpayers tangible assets in return for their largess.
Eisenhower created and paid for the Interstate Highway system via the Federal Gasoline Tax, OTR taxes, FET fees etc.
Reagan gave us the military hardware used by every President that followed him including the current Emperor. His tax cuts caused the greatest sustained economic boom(1982-2007) in this nation's history. 26 Million FULL-TIME jobs and the largest shift from poverty to middle class and from middle class to upper class by Blacks than ever before.

Bill Clinton's 1993 tax bill gave us a balanced budget. Newt voted against it and predicted doom just like every other Republican in The House. Clinton's charts He used to sell the plan turned out to be remarkably predictive.
Republicans kept predicting doom for years, they said it was just taking a bit longer than expected.
When it finally sunk in to them how wrong they were, they changed their BS. That was the point they gave up and decided to take credit for Clinton's achievement. They guessed correctly there was an audience willing to buy any nonsense that painted BC in a bad light.
I'm not a big fan of Obama's Presidency in some ways. I just get tired of the right trashing him in such dishonest and/or paranoid ways.
As for getting Americans killed because of lies, The Bush/Cheney League Of Death were by far the champs in that regard.

Blue states, like California, New York and Illinois, whose economies turn on finance, trade and knowledge, are generally richer than red states. But red states, like Texas, Georgia and Utah, have done a better job over all of offering a higher standard of living relative to housing costs.

The migration of people from blue states to red states started decades ago - many decades - in fact - by the way. Correlating it to any specific political or economic trend (beyond of course the coming of cheap, widely available air conditioning) is kind of difficult. Also, the southern states - and specifically the areas of those states - that have benefited the most from this migration have been among the more liberal: Georgia and Florida (with Texas being the exception). More conservative by comparison Kentucky, South Carolina, Alabama and Mississippi have not gained anywhere near the population growth. In addition, in those states a great deal of the population growth has been in more liberal urban areas like Dallas, Houston, Miami, Tampa-Saint Petersburg etc. The more rural areas of those states have not grown anywhere near as fast. For example, while very conservative suburban Atlanta has grown faster than urban Atlanta, urban Atlanta (meaning the city as well as DeKalb and Clayton) has still added far more residents and employers than anywhere else in the state except for (arguably) the Augusta region. In addition, the northeast and far west still have the largest concentration of high paying jobs because those regions of the country produce (or attract) the largest number of people capable of doing work at the highest level in industries like finance, investment banking, marketing, corporate law, pharmaceuticals, accounting, insurance and of course STEM. Other areas of the country including the southeast get "branch offices" where less critical work can be done more cheaply. For example, creative, cutting edge "mission critical" type work gets done in the blue states and when it, well, matures and becomes more routine it gets farmed out to the regional offices in the red states. No reason to pay a guy $350,000 a year in New York to do what a guy making $75,000 a year in Charlotte can do just as well. But the guy making $350,000 a year in New York can do things that the guy making $75,000 a year in Charlotte can't.

Giving the Arkansas rapist credit for economic prosperity during the 1990's is only valid when you accept that the ONLY thing he did in that regard was to get the hell out of the way and let Newt handle domestic budgetary affairs while he got his knob polished and dabbled in Foreign Affairs due to his desire for a Nobel Putz Prize.
He still wants one even with the cheapening of the thing by Arafat, Al Gore, Jimmy Carter and Barack Owebama all getting one
