Since the 2015 draft there has been only one first round WR to never have at least an 800 yard receiving season in their college career. Most had 1000 yard seasons. That one WR was Henry Ruggs who had two 700 yard seasons and happened to run a 4.26 at the combine.

That’s 28 first round guys and only 1 who never had a 800 yard season. So while they may not tell you they want stats and they may tell you they want to get to the NFL, stats usually mean getting to the NFL and being a high draft pick.

Burton is chasing stats. He has first round potential. I wish he would have stayed.
