Carter was no friend of Israel or the Hebrew people. He was a replacement theology believer that thinks the church replaced the Jewish people.
Christians have killed more Jews than Muslims have over the centuries. Jews have a long memory.
The Bible is totally Jewish, except for two books written by Dr. Luke. We would not have the Bible if it was not for the Hebrew people. I would recommend reading Romans 12 and find out what Paul is telling us. As Gentile Believers we are grafted on to the Jewish olive tree. Which makes Abraham our patriarchs.
Not to mention my best friend, who is Jewish and will always be a Jew, a Hebrew, saved my life. If you are a Believer he saved your life as well. We owe more to the Jewish people than we can ever repay.
