Heard a radio ad today that stunned me. It was a guy in Sumter county imploring farmers contemplating suicide to get help. When did this become a problem? Is it mostly financial pressure?

I haven't heard of any suicides but farming of all types is tough right now. Low commodity prices with very high inputs are hard to overcome even if you have a good crop season.

If Biden forces EU nitrogen standards on US farmers, a lot will be going under. Lower yields = lower farm income. China or hedge funds will be there to buy cheap farm land. That's the intent. Democrats hate rural America more than Israel.

Isn’t that ironic?! Vegans that want to make things so difficult on farmers to even be able to supply their food. Maybe they will have to eat a big ole Deer sammich while crying like a baby.

The large fertilizer totes, 275 gal I believe, that we use on our nursery trees typically cost me $800-$1000 each… just got a quote back from my supplier for the same fertilizer and they are $1500 each… ughhh and I need 3-4 of them…
