Good morning Dawg brothers and sisters !! **

Good morning UJ & all you AM Dawgs! Last day of warm & dry here if reports

are accurate, Stay well.

Good Morning UJD, Tee, Leroy, and others. The rock is

bigger and heavier this week. Sounds like we had a good first day of spring ball. Y'all have a blessed day. GO DAWGS.

good morning Leroy. We could use a bit of rain. Have

been missing it each time. Have a great day.

good morning Tooth. The rock has been known to do

that sometimes. Hunker Down. Spring practice sounds good so far. Have a great day.

mornin' lsudawg. Right on both counts. Things are going on

today I could never even imagined just a few years ago. Hope you have a great day.

Mornin' Uncle. To follow-up on Tooth's post...

the Rock is a many splendid thing. I actually observed the phenomenon of the Rock morphing into a completely different Rock over the past two days.

I had my plans to knock out work that had piled up Monday and Tuesday, and all of the sudden I had a completely different Rock to deal with. And the other Rock is still there!

When will it stop?

Oh and Tech suxs.

Yes, the man

In whatever her manifestation, is impetuous.
She wants what she wants when she wants it. Usually just blurts things out without logic or reason.
Does not keep time line spreadsheets.
The man is like a woman.
And really the rock is just what the man decides what she wants.

mornin' Professor. One thing you have to remember. The

Rock is a tool of.....................The Man. The Rock and The Man have a voodoo type relationship going on. Never have been able to figure it out. Don't really want to know about it either. Just try to go with it.

Thank you Uncle. Your and Teddy's explaination helps. As Thomas Carlye...

once wrote, "Man is a tool-using animal. Without tools he is nothing, with tools he is all."

mornin' teddy. Those lyrics could be a poem, a song or

better yet a man's voice speaking them over the intro in a Moody Blues album. Some thing like "Days of Future Passed". Had a guy saying something just like that on it.

That must have been in Sartor Resartus. I read that

about 20 years ago. Lot of stuff like that in there. Great quote BTW.

Good morning Uncle John, today is wednesday, that means its CATFISH & GRITS

have a great hump day........cooler temp in the 30's , Go Dawgs.

Yes, The Tailor Retailored. IMO, the most important book...

on man's thoughts and actions of all time.

Mornin', Unka John...took the time yesterday to clean off my desk which had

been an absolute disaster. My whole attitude is 1000% improved. Somehow the rock feels a little lighter now. Have a great day...

I read in the early 70s and got confused hell and didn't

get much. Then later did it again and and realized how great it really is. Still can't get Ulysses by James Joyce. Sounds like it would be a blast to do those reenactments that people do using the story as a map.

Morning, UJD. To paraphrase the mighty words of Howard Cosell

"Down goes Obama, Down goes Obama". It was wonderful to see the Israeli voters kick Barry in the nuts after he injected his will into their election.
Doesn't our Presbo realize that the Iranian regime is responsible for coining the phrase, "Death to America"? So sick of this administration that cuddles up with Iran AND Al Sharpton. 2016 can't get here fast enough but then we have the "It's according to what the meaning of IS is" crowd waiting in the wings and they're have 16 years to sharpen their deceitful ways. Meanwhile, we are supposed to be encouraged that we can be saved from that by Jeb Bush, Ted Cruz, or Rand Paul? Oh shat.

good morning 49. Happy catfish and grits day. As usual

I'm going to think about that all day. One of these Wednesdays I'm going to finally crack and go down to Cracker Barrel and have some. Looks like we are going to get a beautiful day. Still in the 50s and will rise to high 60s. Hope you have a great day.

Re: I read in the early 70s and got confused hell and didn't

I've probably read if four times over the years. Concur on Ulysses. Some of the classics are fun to just pick up and randomly read a chapter without the pressure of finishing or connecting it the whole... just immerse yourself in the language and imagery for a short time just for the heck of it.

With some of the American Romanticism writers, Melville for example, you can read a single sentence and appreciate the craft without trying to comprehend the whole thing. Beautiful writing.

mornin' Dawg4Sure. Trying to do the same thing. Have a

big cardboard box under the desk for trash. Got it almost full, but miles to go before I sleep. By doing a little each day I think I can get it done in a week. Could use some improvement in my 'tude. Have a good one.

Good Morning UJD & all you Hump Day Hairy Dawgs

Looks like Logan Byrd at Veterans de committed from Virginia Tech and has picked up offers from Arkansas , Michigan and Kansas State....imagine UGA will still pass and try to get the HoCo kid..Jake Fromm

good morning Judge. That was fun watching that

unfold. A brief moment of levity before we face the new disasters the Affirmative Action Muslim has in store for us. He can't stand free elections even in other countries. I agree that none of the new candidates that would even try to straighten the nation out have zero chance of winning. Right now I just want Him out. Lord I hope He doesn't attempt to run again.

Good Morning Uncle J

Van Dyke Parks and Brian Wilson once wrote that "The Child is the Father of the Man".
From the Smile Album.
Great song imo.
Surf's Up

Lyrics
A diamond necklace played the pawn
Hand in hand some drummed along, oh
To a handsome mannered baton
A blind class aristocracy
Back through the opera glass you see
The pit and the pendulum drawn
Columnated ruins domino

Canvass the town and brush the backdrop
Are you sleeping?

Hung velvet overtaken me
Dim chandelier awaken me
To a song dissolved in the dawn
The music hall a costly bow
The music all is lost for now
To a muted trumpeter swan
Columnated ruins domino

Canvass the town and brush the backdrop
Are you sleeping, Brother John?

Dove nested towers the hour was
Strike the street quicksilver moon
Carriage across the fog
Two-Step to lamp lights cellar tune
The laughs come hard in Auld Lang Syne

The glass was raised, the fired-roast
The fullness of the wine, the dim last toasting
While at port adieu or die

A choke of grief heart hardened I
Beyond belief a broken man too tough to cry

Surf's Up
Aboard a tidal wave
Come about hard and join
The young and often spring you gave
I heard the word
Wonderful thing
A children's song

Child, child, child, child, child
A child is the father of the man
Child, child, child, child, child
A child is the father of the man
A children's song
Have you listened as they played
Their song is love
And the children know the way
That's why the child is the father to the man
Child, child, child, child, child
Child, child, child, child, child
Na na na na na na na na
Child, child, child, child, child
That's why the child is the father to the man
Child, child, child, child, child

Surf's Up

mornin' WRDawg. He's very good, but I also believe the

HoCo kid is better. Being a year behind Eason would be the perfect timing for him too.

Glad you picked that picture for your sig. Old times.
