They finally tore Porter down a few years ago...maybe

10 or so, lose track of time now days...Anyway, Porter was near Mercer and they have done an outstanding job of expanding that campus and converting run-down areas. Mercer has great looking areas around their new football stadium and upgrading the baseball complex...also new restaurants, shops, housing and such....they got it going on and it's good deal for Macon

at VMI my freshman year. Listened to the game on the radio announced by a very new guy named Larry Munson. The first couple of games that year were on the road.
BTW Wally Butts played against the Dawgs while he was at Mercer in that stadium. Hotel there now.
