Good Friday morning all my GMDN family and friends from soggy northern Alabama. Good gracious did we have some rain the past few days. I am hoping for a few days of sunshine ahead but it’s spring in Alabama and you never know. My car is very happy to have a thick layer of yellow stuff washed away.
Happily pinch hosting for our amazingly talented and wonderful @LadyADawg this morning as she recovers from a night of rubbing elbows with Dawg royalty and DGD (Jeff Foxworthy) and a bunch of turkey 🦃 hunting fanatics (me included). I was there in spirit so that counts!
My beautiful bride and I are heading north this morning to see one of our favorite lead singer’s in concert tonight at Foxwoods casino in Connecticut, Rob Thomas. He is the lead for a band called Matchbox 20, but also does a lot of solo work which we enjoy. Plan to spend Saturday exploring the coastal areas of Connecticut and Rhode Island before making our way home.
Baseball Dawgs won last night against the Missouri pussycats and that’s a plus. Not so much for the Braves against the Mets. I caught a glimpse of the Masters late yesterday but you just never know with that course and the weekend weather who is going to prevail.
Lots of prayers for our group. @Lumpdawg, feeling a lot of love for you and Buffy this morning as you prepare to send your FIL home. Holler at us if you need anything.
Gotta grab my coffee and pinch my better half to get moving. The pinching part may result in a black eye or worse so maybe y’all should include me in some prayers.
