Great analysis

Without reading brother., and I will get to it. That means we have two unfit to lead. Those things being equal, imo, you just debunked this persons point. And yours. There is unfit to lead, and physically and mentally unfit. You can’t have a guy with Biden’s disabilities close to the button. Period. End of story. Opinion pieces don’t mean much when the country wasn’t in a bad place under Trump until Covid. Which would have derailed anyone.

Unless Biden steps down, along with Kamala, you can’t blame anyone for voting for Trump.

Edit: can’t get past the pay wall Celtic

It's an opinion piece, but very well written and documented.

Constructive criticism welcome, but the usual nonsense will be ignored.

1) it’s behind a paywall so may want to post the text
2) “liberals don’t like Republican Presidential candidate… news at 11!!”
3) this is so transparent - Biden is a mental vegetable (when three weeks ago he was fit as a fiddle!) so now, to make him look “less bad by comparison” comes the NYT hit piece about how it’s actually Trump who is unfit. Lolol

It’s Opposite Day for liberals all the time.

Biden’s not unfit… it’s actually Trump who is unfit!

Wow

"The Republican Party once pursued electoral power in service to solutions for such problems, to building “the shining city on a hill,” as Ronald Reagan liked to say. Its vision of the United States — embodied in principled public servants like George H.W. Bush, John McCain and Mitt Romney"

So, which one of these selfless servants did the Times endorse.

"was rooted in the values of freedom, sacrifice, individual responsibility and the common good."

Not sure the Clintons, Bidens or even the Obamas were shining examples of any of these points as each one of these Times endorsed leaders used their positions to amass fortunes usually earned by captains of industry and successful entertainers.

"Mr. Trump because of his positions on immigration, trade and taxes. But the stakes of this election are not fundamentally about policy disagreements."

So the Dems and Pubs the NYT approves of have presided over the invasion of our country by MILLIONS of illegal immigrants that have devastated the ability of our cities to serve citizens, created trillions in debt with no return to sane fiscal policy in sight, horrible trade policies that literally encourage American owned businesses to shut down U.S. operations and move jobs and manufacturing overseas which damages our national security and this election isn't about policy differences? Policy differences are THE reason we have elections. Mudslinging, as the times and both parties utilize, is simply an effort to manipulate elections and shouldn't be the reason a candidate is selected.

The bottom line is a huge majority of Pub voters have been held captive by the neocons for a couple of decades but the neocons that have just as much of a lust for power as everyone else were able to quash the Tea Party with a little help from their statist friends in the Dem party and attacked Trump as viciously as anyone else. These neocons campaigned on the same issues as Trump but governed like Democrat lites and they created Trump's MAGA movement.

So yeah, Trump has his warts but let's not pretend DC is full of a bunch of angels. JFK and Ted were lionized but were just as terrible as Trump. LBJ? Yeah there is a saint. Clinton...He and Trump could be blood brothers and Biden is most likely the most corrupt SOB to ever be sworn in as POTUS. His admin and the Times coverage (as well as other outlets) have been exposed as total frauds.

As far as upholding the Constitution, I remember O ignoring federal court orders in regards to offshore drilling. I remember O flatly stating he didn't have the constitutional authority to unilaterally act on immigration. I don't remember Trump ignoring court decisions even when the court was denying him powers that are literally enshrined in the Constitution like his ability to close the border. When the Muslim ban was blocked, Trump did not continue the policy unlike Biden (student loan forgiveness) and O (offshore drilling) Trump obeyed the order and fought the decisions IN COURT. Additionally, an incoming POTUS has been allowed to reverse executive orders but Trump was denied the ability to overturn DACA. He didn't exercise this authority even though the court that upheld DACA would have been overturned.

So, vote for whomever you wish but please stop pretending we have been governed by saints that live to uphold the Constitution. Yeah, it's a shame that voters that feel the fed gov is the corrupt entity that needs to be cleaned out had no where to turn but Trump but if you think fraudulently spying on POTUS campaigns and then the sitting POTUS, fed agents swearing to false affidavits in secret federal courts, fed courts ruling against a POTUS acting in ways that are clearly enshrined in the Constitution is how it should work, then you aren't the one voting to save democracy.

And by the way...Do a little research on how the Times covered Hitler's rise. You may be shocked.
