who J.D. Vance is.
For those that don’t know, he is the fellow (not the actor) in the movie Hillbilly Elegy. Haven’t read the book, but the movie was excellent imo.
It’s based on a true story.
It is mostly about his life & his family’s growing up in a rural community in Appalachia, him eventually getting out. The movie showed how the community was riddled by drug addiction and instability…..and his Mom eventually became hooked on drugs too.
The dude grew up dirt poor and overcame a lot of adversity & shat load of odds. This fellow deserves everything good that has come and will come his way.
Nobody gave him a damn thing, he got off his azz and earned it.
