when you run the pro style offense versus a spread, you are announcing that there is nothing complicated or tricky to what we do, we just think you can't stop us. We go out and find gems of QB's that can run this offense (vs DT QB's) and with the recruitment of Eason we have announced that we will be doing this for 3 or 4 (doubtful) more years at least.
Teams like Bama, and LSU, among others love that about us because they know we aren't great at finding the other 10 players that make this kind of offense go. So we end up looking like a team beating it's head against a wall while our opponents easily shut us down (ref: Bama game.... we absolutely played into Bama's strength without the players to do it). Maybe we are stubborn.... maybe others realize that week in and week out, you'll have more success in the SEC if you can keep big fast defense off guard by running away from their strength instead of head long into it. So maybe, just maybe, we need to be working toward an offensive change that will utilize DT QBs and multiple RB's and try a different approach. Maybe.
