Heres why we won't play-

Trying real hard to understand how in a violent sport (in which there are heavy concussions levels, significant bone and joint injuries and Heaven forbid occasional paralysis) that a virus affecting the aged population is halting the sport.

It seems if Covid has this effect then because of all the other injuries the sport should surely be stopped forever.

And we might as well stop driving, flying, crossing the street, swimming, going outside, etc.

The players should know the risk by now and in a majority want to play. The adults need to let them.

Coronavirus-related deaths in the United States topped 1,000 Tuesday after a weekend lag, suggesting that the trend of four-digit single-day death tolls will continue for a fourth week.

Of the 1,282 deaths reported Tuesday, Florida and Georgia recorded their highest single-day death tolls since the start of the pandemic, respectively with 277 and 122 coronavirus-related deaths, according to a data analysis by The Post.

Tuesday marked the first time Georgia has exceeded 100 deaths in a day and its highest reported 7-day average.
JUST STOP DUDE. We cant live life in a bubble. and 1/3 of people will not get the vaccine. im not going to and not because of conspiracies. i've never even had a flu shot

Maybe you should get “Brian” to get you in touch with the Texas governor so you can spread some of your “COVID-19 insight”. Here is some of the media coverage you say isn’t being covered, seems he isn’t as impressed by a 20% drop in average daily cases or hospitalizations as you are, I wonder why?

The kids will return to campus. They will go out like always because they are young, feeling invincible and happy to be at college, just like we were. Cases will spike in Athens due to parties and bars. Football will be cancelled. It is a near certainty. However, I appreciate the SEC delaying the vote just in case something radically different happens.

You're slowly catching up, but not quite there. We're discussing the numbers from the state of Georgia right now.

You’re still back on about March 15th. Your alarm went off 5 months ago. The snooze button is destroyed. Time to wake up which I know you’ve dreaded.

On

My response is I don't trust the Covid death numbers. I know of to many false Covid death reports. How many 18 - 22 year old have died?
Why don't you here more about the number of people that have had it and got over it? Why don't hear more about what the Doctors that are treating patients and keeping them out the hospitals ? Why don't we hear more about the zinc protocol with tonic water? Why don't we hear more about the PH of the virus and how eating foods with a higher Ph than the virus might protect us? What don't we hear more about Vitamin D levels and our immune system? Why aren't we following the Lupus patients and see how many of them have come down with the virus? I can tell you is because the Democrats and their media buddies only want things shut down in hopes of regaining control of the Government and put their full socialist plan in place
And bill gates wanting the virus shot profits.

Please explain this...,
A person dies approximately every 11.14 seconds

Number of deaths per year: 2,830,688

Number of deaths per day: 7,755

Number of deaths per hour: 323

Source: United Nations World Population Prospects 2019,

...when has any elected official or university President stopped citizens from passing away?

Do you like telling lies and living in fear? We haven’t averaged anywhere near 1000 deaths a day since May. You coronabros are pathetic and weak.

Two more weeks.
7 people have died in Athens. I think they were "with covid" not "of". But I have heard we were at red alert level about 10 times.

We will damn sure strap them to an electric chair or let 'em take a bullet or an IED in a war. We will let an 18 yo (or less) do high rise construction. If they want to play, let them.

Well that isn't even right

Why will football be cancelled?

Why will football be cancelled?
It makes absolutely no sense to me, but football seems to be the sacrificial lamb despite the fact football players can be monitored far more than the average person/student and the games are less risky to the players than going to a Target.

Will fake rasslin continue on?

There will be no fun and games this fall. They will force us to keep our eyes on their miserable November prize.

No fun distractions will be tolerated.

So, you’re saying the Texas governor didn’t make that statement? Maybe if people like you took the facts seriously we would be playing football this fall. This was not a NYT opinion piece, it quoted the governor of Texas.

Reading comprehension a challenge for you? Or you just like to ramble off to people you don't know? I said nothing about the Gov of Texas. I just said I stopped taking the reply seriously when I saw "nytimes.com".

You can try to pick a fight with whomever you want. Sucks when they won't jump down into the mud with you. People like me? You don't know me and you don't know how I "took the facts". So, go back to flaming your personal opinions at those who couldn't care less about what you have to say.

Cancel the season for a virus that kills old people and gives young folks head colds at worst?

Makes sense to me.
