Been a Dawg since I enrolled in 1981 and am embarrased to say I just learned the history behind our 3rd down music. It's called Dies Irae and has an amazing history dating back to the 13th century. I think the Redcoats call it Choker. It translates to Day of Wrath and the Redcoats are basically telling our opponents their wrath is coming. It's one of the most quoted melodies in all of music. I've seen some on here that don't like it but for me it's an iconic Georgia tradition that I hope we always keep. Now that I know its historic foundation and underlying meaning, I like it even better. My question is how long have the Redcoats played it before 3rd down? SIC EM!
