Today:
Newell- 33
Godfrey - 23
Somto - 13
Abson - 10
It’s tough because they are 4 completely different players that provide something the others don’t
Every time I start to think one of them should lose some minutes they start playing well
Asa is huge on the offensive boards and can shoot from deep, but it seems we sometimes struggle to set up looks for him
Godfrey is a solid defender and has good moves in the post, but will completely disappear on offense occasionally
Somto is a beast who can put out highlight dunks and blocks, which is huge for momentum, but he’s also a turnover machine and occasionally busts on defense. He’s kind of a liability on both ends of the ball
Abson is pretty solid all around but isn’t necessarily gonna dominate SEC bigs
Also, I’m not sure if we are a program that promises playing time to recruits, as that may be a factor:
Based on what I’ve seen so far, and assuming 80 minutes per game, I’d go
Asa: 32
Godfrey: 18
Abson: 16
Somto: 14
