the fact is, we don’t have a running game. I really think you have to go back to the mid 90s when Zeier was here to find the last time that we were this ineffective at running the football. We basically just stopped trying to do it in 1993 and 1994.
Never would have thought this would be an issue with Mike Bobo, but it is. We have good running backs and a couple of Sunday guys on the OL. But we can’t run it, and I am sure that Carson is pressing a bit given that.
I’m tempted to say also that we don’t have any impact WRs, but I don’t know if that’s true. Beck may be suppressing Arian Smith and Dillon Bell more than they are limiting him.
I know that’s nothing Earth shattering, but I believe that’s the reason for his poor decision making, moreso than all the NIL and leadership hyperbole.
