Sanders is owned by the gun manufacturers lobby. And a retired CIA operative who was on his Russia/Putin footsies case back when he was going over there says Putin has him in his pocket and has likely been an informant to Putin since those days. A Navy admiral who was involved with espionage also says much of the intelligence community thinks he has deep ties to Vlad and has had for a long time. It is a fact he is owned by the gun lobby and authored poetry that extolled the virtues of rape and basically said women want to be raped so go for it.
