I think Kirby has already learned from the Justin Fields situation...

listening to another podcast where one of their reporters said Justin Fields became frustrated because he was told he would have a chance to beat out Jake Fromm. No matter which side you fall on the issue I think we can all agree that Justin doesn’t think he got a fair shake. Whether he is right or wrong can be debated all day, but all that really matters is what he thought.

Fast forward to Mathis and Beck and both of them have been quoted as saying they plan to sit behind Fromm. There is no talk of competition because I think Kirby has made it abundantly clear in recruiting talks that Fromm will not be beat as long as he is on campus.

That’s the thing I love about Kirby. He’s always adapting and changing his approach in hopes of improving what he does.
