don't get me wrong...I hate Auburn but here is what I mean. I wouldn't mind having 2 or 3 6 and 6 or even 5 and 7 records per decade in exchange for 2-3 13 or 14 wins seasons. We simply are too comfortable with 9-10 wins and to uncomfortable with 6-7 win seasons. You tell me next year we go 5 and 7...but the year after we go 14 and 1...I'll take that all day.

I agree. Dooley had some 6-6 teams, but was in the SEC hunt every 5 years or so. 10 years no SEC championship and for the most part not in it, just won't do with the talent in this state.

There is no method to being bad, bad, then good, then bad again.
What has happened at Auburn is a fluke.
Bama's is clearly the program to emulate.

Dooley had an SEC Championship drought from 1968 to 1976, right?

UGA has been ''in it'' as far as close to winning or winning The East most years. Of course there was the heart breaking final play in The 2012 SECCG that was the difference in winning and not winning The SEC and in all likelihood a national title as well.

When Mark Richt won the SEC championship in 2002, it was the first time the dawgs had won a conference title in 20 years. It has been 10 years since UGA won an SEC title but they did make it to the conference championship game in 2011 & 2012. Richt was responsible for making UGA competitive in the SEC again and it's hard to believe that some fans don't realize that.

You should be so lucky to be like Auburn. They have won 2 SEC titles in the past 5 years and have also played twice for the national championship.

The condition that the East has been for 10 years, we should have been in it every year. You people are comparing Apples to Oranges. Both FL and TN were a wreck, unlike the 90s. Plus the population of Georgia because of Atlanta has doubled. Would you stop it with Richt, his record in big games is awful.
