I wonder if we’ve seen the last of Clemson...

I don’t think they’re on much of a trajectory to host, although I’m sure they’ll get into a regional somewhere... and I’m sure the committee wouldn’t mind putting them in Athens given the proximity of the schools.

We’ve really had their number this year. We’ve shut them out in, what, 16 innings they’ve hit against us? Or 15... either way... for a lineup that good, we’ve just done a phenomenal job of pitching to them.

They’ve pitched us well too. The difference, I think, is that when we’ve gotten our chances at a big inning, we’ve taken advantage. Think about how much different that game is last night if they get Schunk out in the 1st inning, or how much different the first game is if they get Michael Curry out instead of giving up a grand slam.

There have obviously been a lot of differences this year, but our ability to add on runs (often from Adam Sasser, it seems) can’t be understated.

At any rate, I’m not going to be stunned if last night wasn’t the last time we play Clemson in 2018... not being cocky, but they’ve really brought up the best in our group... the last two Tuesdays have been as well as we’ve played in the midweek in a long time...
