SMU really gets roll'n!! Thus far they've just dipped their toes into NIL, I previsioned that Tejas and TAMU would change the landscape of college football a la NIL and they haven't disappointed. (Horns gave every OL who signed two years ago $50K in appreciation.) Now comes SMU. perhaps the greatest combination of former cheaters, opportunist alumni, Dallas Petroleum Club regulars, and untold wealth the NCAA has ever witnessed. When SMU's billionaires get serious and whisper they want a championship football team EVRYONE (UGA too) will be sucking hind tit. The poor ACC definitely has zero chance. Greg Byrne has seen the light and he knows the train that SMU's headlight is attached to is coming right down the tracks leading to Tusky. He KNOWS Bammer doesn't have an economic chance and posted his pathetic groveling akin to an all hands on deck distress call in desperation. Water is lapping at the gunnels. Even 'Barn has Mr. Yellawood and the heirs to Vulcan materials as backers. Apparently Ol Piss has money not just from the Delta but natural gas wells. Who does Bammer have? Let's put it this way: Their biggest radio sponsor on game days is the "Manufactured Home Makers Association." (I shat you not.) Right there's the answer to my question. I'll miss Bammer ... a little bit. Truly.

PS - Okie has plenty of oil wealth, too, and it's only a matter of time before they tire of losing and join the party.
