College football...my how times changed quickly
Imagine a world where a team beats a team twice, once on the road handlily and let's say we win SEC champ game by 21 at a neutral site but TX still makes playoffs.
Then we lose to them in the semifinal or final on a controversial call or close game...would most feel like the system doesn't need some tweaking still?
As fun as all of the season chaos is, I feel like there is a LOT of ironing out that needs to be done.
This isnt the main reason why at all, but just another oddity to point out the new way should vehemently work to improve and figure out a way to not focus on brands and making sure big names get extra chances, sos isn't ignored and create a non bias formula that figures out quality of wins similar to what basketball has evolved to.
