There has always been a lot of debate about prioritizing in-state recruiting vs just recruiting the best players no matter where they are from and I have admittedly always leaned toward the latter. However this year is looking like a perfect combination of being able to do both because of how strong the class is in-state. There is a realistic chance that 75%+ of this class is going to be Georgia boys..
RB: Bo Walker
WR: CJ Wiley, Travis Smith, Thomas Blackshear, Landon Roldan
TE: Elyiss Williams, Ethan Barbour
OL: Juan Gaston, Maason Short, Damola Adijahun, Dontrell Glover, Cortez Smith
DL: Elijah Griffin, Justus Terry, Christian Garrett, Kevin Wynn
OLB/EDGE: Isaiah Gibson
LB: Zayden Walker, Tavion Wallace, Christian Gass
CB: Shamar Arnoux
Safety/Star: Todd Robinson, Lagonza Hayward (maybe; if we push)
Kirby and company are about to clean up in-state. And of course it helps that most of them are from areas of the state where we do well and not Gwinnett like last year. 😎
