The rotation for this weekend. It seems like Kevin Smith is going back in it. I don't see how you bounce Andrew Gist, after last weekend. Chase Adkins has been our best guy this season overall.... so, obviously that leaves Tony Locey... he would seem to be the odd man out.
Here's the question though... at 11-15/ 1-5, we aren't out of anything, but the situation is what it is... if they see Locey as a starter long term, is it best for the program if he loses his weekend spot? Are you making a decision for this season or this program?
Locey could move into the midweek role. That seems the most logical if we see his future as a starter, especially with the Clemson and tech circuit on the horizon.
Or, they could acknowledge that Locey's best future is at the end of games, not the beginning.
We won't have Gist next year and we likely won't have Adkins either. But if finish under .500 again, 2018 probably won't matter much for Stricklin.
It's going to be very interesting to see what we prioritize.
For my two cents, the best thing for Tony Locey and the program as a whole is to begin grooming him as a closer... I hope that the decision for this weekend takes a step in that direction.
