Several of you had inqired about my upcoming rounds of immunotherapy and it's affect on me.
My immunotherapy drug is called Keytruda and it works with your own body to fight cancer.
When I was going through my Chemotherapy, Keytruda was one of three drugs used.
I had my first immunotherapy session last Tuesday using only Keytruda. Wednesday and Thursday I had no real negative issues.
Well, on Friday I noticed some significant pain in both legs.
(This pain was different from the typical Neuropathy pain associated with Chemotherapy)
The pain got so bad I couldn't walk without my walker.
But the pain subsided on Sunday somewhat.
The other negative side affects are a loss of appetite, feeling drained with little energy.
BUT THE GOOD NEWS, MOST ALL THIS WILL FADE AWAY IN ABOUT FIVE DAYS.
Suggestions...
Compression stocking's help.
Extra strength Tylenol is good or Oxycodone is wonderful.
Lyrica is your friend for Neuropathy.
Imodium is great for diarrhea.
I'm trying to be honest for those of you about ready for immunotherapy.
I'm still progressing day by day.
Thanks for your prayers.
Paul
