If USF was Bama's last game (14-13 after 3 quarters) and our last game was Clemson (2nd half obliteration of a team that has destroyed their 2 other 'quality' opponents), the general feeling around the country would be quite different.
Now, maybe it really does matter that one team has looked much better and the other much worse in a matter of a week or two, but the 'last game' mindset is a big deal as far as opinions and prognostications go, imo.
