I understand the reasons for not doing it.
The great Greene/Shockley snap sharing arrangement showed that it’s possible. I don’t mean split snaps either….maybe a couple of series a game. Not much.
Since Stockton has a different skill set, I think showing a willingness to mix it up always gives the opposing DC something to think about. Add in the threat of QB runs….and GOD forbid Beck gets hurt for a few weeks, it would be good to for Gunner to have some butterflies worked out.
I don’t think we need Stockton to win games…I’m not suggesting Beck ain’t the man…...but if we ever needed a spark, you never know. If it did nothing else but require an opposing team to prep for it, it would be worth it.
He could have ran the offense in games 1 and 2, it would not have hurt anything unless Beck would start looking over his shoulder. It’s not worth it if Beck starts playing hesitant.
What say you? Would you try it some or stay the course ?
