I have 3 children and if one of them did the same thing I would kinda wonder why. You picked the school , you are playing, you have friends here, where was his coach last year? Nothing against the kid , wish him the best but can't blame someone for saying something is wrong. Evidently there is or he would not be living. Not saying anything bad. If coach Richt was a father figure to him and they were that close then that might be the reason.
That is what I can't understand either. Having to sit out a year just to play with your old coach doesn't make sense. Add to that, no matter what he is going to see the field even if it is just returning kicks.
I agree it might not be the best move on the surface. On the other hand people move home for all sorts of personal reasons.
If it's just a practical decision for His playing career, He's probably better off staying and seeing what his draft value is after next season.
I admit I questioned how good He'd be at this level based on HS video. Clearly He is far more elusive in traffic than I thought He would be.
Will that transfer to The NFL where everybody is quicker and better tacklers ? I'm not sure.
That is all a bunch of conjecture.
If He were transferring IN instead of out, there wouldn't be the same questioning of His motives.
If he was tranfiring to utk they would burn all of his jerseys bring out the pitch forks.
Missing home would be the simplest possibility.
If I were a UGA coach I'd set Him down and make sure He's thought it through. If He still wants to transfer, just wish Him luck and help Him with details.
Seems there's some back sliding this am from the original reports. (which included an instagram from IM yesterday) Probably thought it through yesterday. Too close to going to NFL or graduating to have to sit out a year.
Hope he stays, think he is giving up too much to leave.... Miami has fallen a long ways and he will be long gone before it gets back.

Of course Rumph wants Him at Miami, Coley is lobbying an SC kid to come to UGA. It's not shady, at least no more so than recruiting in general.

He is a former Miami safety. He was HC at American Heritage HS, where McKenzie went. He was McKenzie's hs HC.
That's what I was saying . you said that was conjecture to wonder why he would want to leave. Then you turned around and gave your own conjecture. Thought that was what we were doing was giving an opinion on what might be happening or asking why something is happening. If we all knew why and what then there would be no conjecture.
I stated the obvious, You used words like ''weird'' which clearly suggest You think something unusual has gone on behind the scenes.
The guy is from the Miami area, now both His former HCs/mentors coach there. It's not at all mysterious.
Somebody just needs to give Their honest opinion and make sure He's looked at the whole picture, then leave Him to make an educated decision.
Think you need to go read it again in my post where I said if it were my own child I would wonder what was going on. If your going to get onto everyone else about reading and comprehension then you need to do the same.There is nothing wrong with Wondering why someone wants to up and leave. I was not bad mouthing the kid, just wondering what his reasoning was. Think you might want to look up what conjecture means.
