that while this is generally true, it's a misrepresented idea.

It's not necessarily hard to beat a team twice in general. It happens with intra-divisional teams plenty in the NFL, and that's with each team playing on the road once.

The main reason it's hard in college is because if you're playing a particular team twice, it's because they were good enough to make it to the conference championship and/or playoffs.

So, yeah, it's hard to beat a really good team twice, but it's not necessarily hard to beat a team twice in general.
