I've programed myself to never get emotional about the Falcons, but Arthur Smith is my least favorite coach, ever. The hubris in his press conferences after shitting the bed is where his inner-brat/silver spoon would shine through, in spite of his crafted rugged persona. It's an EXTREMELY tough role to play and one he didn't commit to, fully.
Taking the heat comes with the position he chose. He didn't understand the responsibility of taking it on the chin when he needed to. He did himself no favors. He made himself an unsympathetic figure and completely unrelatable.
Smith has clear leadership qualities, but he's not mature enough to lead yet. And you can't wear a monocle and hard hat at the same time. Few people in history have ever pulled off a Teddy Roosevelt.
