I assume they have looked at this rule. Thought about it a lot after Jordan Davis' tackle on B. Young in the championship game that we thought was a scoop and score for Dean.
Why does a QB who is being tackled/hit with the ball in his hands get an incomplete pass even if the ball doesn't pass the LOS, but a guy who is not being hit but under duress from a pass rush get a penalty that essentially results in the play being a sack?
If the defense makes it impossible for the QB to throw a forward pass past the line of scrimmage because they have the QB wrapped up or hit him as he throwing, why is that not rewarded?
