I followed Kirby's lead and picked up "Legacy" , a book that dissects the All Blacks team culture. I can't recommend it enough. Its a great book for all people leaders.
When I came to chapter six, I couldn't help but think of Kirby, my Dawgs, Carson and the culture of the team. Chapter six is titled, "No Dickheads".

"One disaffected or selfish individual infects the group. Remove them and the group will cohere and heal"
"No Dickheads is the antidote to the leak, the bad apple, the enemy inside the tent"
The chapter hinges around the concept of following the spearhead, that is team oriented organizational excellence...I couldn't help but think of Bobo and our disjointed offense.

...and I'm really starting to buy into the narrative that Carson was a cultural cancer. And I don't think you can exaggerate the effect that had on the team.
