One of my best friend’s brother-in-law is an offensive assistant coach at GT. Roldan officially visited Tech two days before we offered. They thought they had him all but locked up after that visit and their coaches knew they found a diamond in the rough. They were not happy when he committed to UGA.
Tech has had success with some under recruited guys in recent years (Malik Rutherford, Eric Singleton, etc). I think the fact that Roldan was coveted by both staffs shows what they think of his potential after some college strength and conditioning. I’m looking forward to seeing the impact that he can make at UGA, especially in 2026 after a year in the program.
