As I have said over the last 6 months, the inside backers will be a huge improvement, and the entire defense would benefit from a very weak 2014 group. I was met with if 42 and 45 were better players,they would have started and played frequently.My response was no, not true.Pruitt had a completely gutted secondary and was forced to use many players that needed a year in s&c program to truly compete in the SEC. The last thing he was going to do is throw a 5th year senior and a senior under the bus and start two players in their 2nd year.The 3/4 defense goes with it's LB play. The LB group as a whole will be a fantastic bunch and as sad as it is to say (better than the Atlanta Falcons LB corp) Anyone who continues to believe that if 42 and 45 were better they would have started in 2014 must use the same logic for two future stars and most likely first round picks in smith and 6. In a nutshell the back 8 although not as talented as a few other schools will perform at an incredible level this year. The run game will show huge improvement. The pass rush is the best in the country. The db's second year together under the best db coach in America ( I like our chances)Is this group the 1999 talent level match? no. Is it the best coached ,best s&c group in history of UGA ? YES. The defense will be very good!
