I know he’s a lightening rod, either you love him or hate him. I’m not a fan but I sure respect his game at age 38. IMO he is better attacking the rim and holding off in the 3 ball but at his age he might not have much left in the tank to drive on younger players and it’s just easier to stand outside the 3 line.
40 points in the last game but only 9 in the second half tells me that he spent most of his energy up in the 1st.
I say he comes back to Lakers next year but opts out of his contract afterwards so that he can explore signing with whoever drafts his son. Will he play a full season in 2 years? Who knows but I can see him taking a reduced role with a team just for the opportunity to play with his son.
