My mother passed in 2020 and I’ve been getting calls about a property in my name that I was unaware of… public records show it’s in my name but upon further digging it also shows it in my ex step fathers name as of 2023 (3 years after my mom passed)… it also lists my address as a PO Box that I don’t have. Can the good legal dawgs here on the vent please help point me in the right direction on what I should do? I’d greatly appreciate it very much.
I already called the Paulding Co tax commissioner and was told she’s “in training all week”. Again if anyone could help at all it would mean a lot. TIA
