A neighbor down the street lost control of his car and took out my mailbox and a fairly mature evergreen shrubbery before colliding with a work van parked in front of my next door neighbor's house. The shrubbery is part of a matching pair with one undamaged on the opposite side of my driveway. The work van belonged to a landscape contractor doing some work to finish up an addition for the next door neighbors.
I've got the police report and the landscape contractor wrote me a quote to replace the mailbox and both shrubs (since replacing one would not match). Does anyone have advice on how to deal with the driver's insurance? It is National General insurance. I'm not very familiar with them, but I think they are part of All State.
