There are almost as many guys that we'd "hold a spot" for, as there are spots available. So when you say, "oh, he's an absolute take" about someone on Simmons's or Buchanan's level... that means it takes a spot away from someone we'd absolutely hold a spot for. We are out of wiggle room. I'm not saying that Simmons or Singleton isn't good enough, they sure as hell are... but just know that the possibility of signing one of our low end "hold a spot for" guys (like Kyle Davis or Nigel Warrior) is essentially off the table. I mean if we are absolutely taking two more tackles, a running back, an OLB and ILB... that means we already have more Garys, Browns, Davis's, Robertsons, Carters, Hardmans, Warriors, Nauta's than spots available.
Great problem to have, but just know the absolutes you guys make about takes, come with a mathematical price.
