A lot of thought he might be a good fit at Bama. Sort of a reverse Smart. A young coordinator at UGA with roots at Bama. Learning under a master, who then goes home. Well, that didn't happen, so what now?
Maybe this means he really does pull a CKS and stays at UGA for another 5-8 years, turning down Auburn in the process, until after the next HC or two of Bama fail. Then he goes home because their arrogance of "we only want a HC" is long gone.
