All up on you tube, listen to them on way home from work some time. Here is a summary:
1. In the Past (as late as 2010) all judges hated to get reversed or called out on appeal, now may of the Progressives seem to be auditioning for promotions from some of their outrageous decisions. Many were rewarded with the latest round of appointments by Biden. Expect to see more.
2. Executive Orders - Obama had the most in history reversed by Supreme Court 9-0 to 7-2 than any other President. Biden was a close second. To date, in their collecting opinion none of Trump's orders will lose anything closer than 4-5 and most will win.
3. Apparently the issue of them trying to reverse Trump's executive orders pales in comparisons to some Federal and appellate court's ruling against previous Supreme Court Decisions. McCarthy and Hewitt sited 3 examples of outrageous NY and North East Federal Court Decisions than directly conflict with previous SCOTUS work. This is a new issue and is getting out of hand.
4. McCarthy of all people had no issue with taking a more aggressive approach to impeaching judges. (Not recent Trump tweet but related to item # 3)
5. Hewitt and McCarthy said on legal grounds Trump decision to deport Venezuelan gang members was 50/50. Their language to the judge last Saturday would have been, we don't think you have the authority, and we are going thru with the deportation flights we already have teed up, nothing you can do to stop it. After that point we will pause and let it go thru the court system. It is what it is. If he screamed, tell him to call the Big Guy.
6. Judge in deportation case was unprepared last Saturday, in a case like that you have to be prepared, no one in their right mind thinks the US Gov't is turning around or stopping planes in mid-air.
7. Doubts if Trump wants to do it again, the message has been sent, any Venezuelan gang members committing crimes in US risk being sent to an El Salvador prison where they will be housed there for years. Talk about a deterrent.
8. Both Obama and Biden had thumbed their noses at Federal Court and SCOTUS decisions, thus far Trump has not. Expect him to do some in future, just needs to pick the more important ones.
All and all, some interesting points. Not all was Pro-Trump at all, think these pod-cast are more direct than some of the news shows.
