Came to Auburn (cue the outrage, but one’s a Georgia grad) for the day to spend some time with some friends.
Had a bacon egg and cheese biscuit from Byron’s Smokehouse on Opelika Rd. It hit the spot, but damn it makes me miss the Mayflower in Athens.
Is there any alternative to the Mayflower in Athens? Or is it all chain brunch places now (Flying Biscuit, First Watch, etc.)?
Bonus points if you can point me to a traditional country breakfast like that in the north Atlanta area. (Buckhead, Sandy Springs, up 75 to Cobb County).
