Bobo's offense has been based on certain givens:

1.) A QB that has limited running ability, but compensates for that with a strong arm, great accuracy, and good decision making. This just hasn't been the case, additionally he still can't throw a deep ball and he certainly lacks confidence. He is not a big game player.

2.) We have one of the best offensive lines in the country, therefore we would be able to open holes in the running game and our great running back room would be able to take advantage of that. I'm still positive about our running backs, but they are having to make most of it on their own, nothing is coming easy.

What this means is that it is hard to accurately judge Bobo's performance so far. What could he dial up if Beck was playing better? What if if Beck could hit a deep ball, instead of consistently over throwing it. Losing Colbie Young was a bad break, but we knew that our receiving room would be down. That being said, if we could establish a consistent run game and if Beck was more accurate and didn't constantly turn the ball over, maybe Bobo would be looking a lot more impressive. I'm not sure Monken could have done any better with the current personnel.
