My POTUS

Please let this be true.

When I read that The president of Mexico, Columbia, and some other country “were not accepting flights” of their illegal aliens to land to return them to the country, I about lost my mind.

I think both Republicans and Democrats need to remember this. These countries are not our friends, and they are not neutral.

On a related note, I read a statistic sometime around 2010 that said that the number one industry in Mexico was money illegally earned in the United States and funneled back to Mexico. Think about that.

Purely hypothetical because obviously a Biden or Obama admin would never send a plane of illegal violent criminals back to their home country, but if they did and they were turned away…….either you wouldn’t hear about it at all, or…. You would hear about a committee to study the most humane way to effectively do this. In both cases the plane would come right on back. A year and a billion dollars later, a press conference touting the success of the repatriation program would be held, as the first group of 6 were private jetted back to Columbia with caviar and charcuterie.

On one hand this is so incredibly awesome. On the other hand it is really a very common sense and easy thing to do….it is just the fact that the Biden admin was so inefffectiive, even obvious / easy examples of leadership look like the invention of the wheel.

This issue will conclude in our favor in a matter of days.

Not trying to be a pain here, but if you were the President of Columbia, would you want to have a bunch of bad guys/criminals dumped on your soil?

Hell no.

US was stupid enough to let them in, your problem now.

Tell me where I am wrong.

Who gives a sh*t what the Columbian president wants?!?!

And, yes....you are nothing but a pain and a contrarian. Getting these violent criminals out of the U.S. is something you'd think ALL Americans would want.

You were probably anti- Laken Riley bill too. ...as were many of the democrats. You liberals are truly disgusting.

Do you guys ever stop and read what is posted?

The OP decried that the Columbian President wasn't letting the plane land.

My response was why would he want to, he should do what is best for Columbia, just like Trump should do what is best for the USA.

Those two points of view may conflict from time to time.

How in the hell does that observation make me anti Laken Riley act?

Are we not allowed to actually think a bit here, and have a rational discussion?

Understand your point. But I think the “this is what is best for Columbia” moral high ground is a little shaky if you are turning away your own citizens. Tactically stupid as well getting into a public tit for tat that he can’t win.

My advice to him would be to employ the if you can’t beat him join him strategy. Celebrate the fact that the US caught these Wanted men. And take them to jail.

Understand, I thought the folks being returned in this flight were criminals, and that is why the Columbian President had no desire to have them dumped in his lap.

If that understanding was incorrect, and these folks were just Columbian citizens that had illegally entered the US, then the Columbian President's actions don't make sense.

Don’t think the plane needs to actually land to drop all those baddies off 🤣. Fk’m all!

so you are saying we should NOT send them back? sounds like it. why do you ALWAYS make it a point to be "anti' on any meaningful common sense discussion?

To put this situation in better context, I think the specific objection the Columbian president had was the use of military aircraft and treating Columbians "like criminals." That's why the presidential plane offer was made.

The Columbian president has followed up with some chest thumping directed towards Trump, full of typical leftist cliches like calling him racist and basically a symbol of white slavery.

My guess is that since the Marxist president is highly unpopular and has become politically impotent, he's trying to use a beef with Trump to present himself as a champion of Columbian patriotic spirit and foster an "us vs them" dynamic in his country.

It's a desperate play, but he's a desperate failed leader.

To both sides in this thread.. it’s Colombia. ColOmbia. It’s a country. It’s not a city in South Carolina. It’s not a university in NYC. It’s not a high school in Dekalb County. Colombia. A country.

They did. Constantly. I have first hand knowledge that it happened all the time. Usually, however, they let the states decide if they want to incarcerate before deportation, or go straight to deportation. Most of the time, they chose the former.

Biden did constantly? That’s BS.

1) no - we are not allowed to have discussion here. Lol You’ll learn unfortunately
2) no one, including Trump, gives a sh!t what the president of Columbia wants. He’s going to do what he’s told to do.

Sick and tired of people not respecting the USA. Columbia is not our equal, not even close. They’ll take these clowns and anything else we tell them to take.

Seems like Biden sent of planes to Colombia constantly during his tenure...🤷‍♂️

No I am not. There are many illegals who committed crimes here and we’re CONSTANTLY released and thus not deported.
I didn’t say they had a 100% success rate. Far from it. And I’ve got news for you. Trump won’t either.

But I deal with this issue nearly weekly. I know more about it than you.

I will defer to notsilver since he works in the industry. But there is an article they may help explain this with actual numbers for both partisan sides. Biden has deported a ton of people, but he has let more across the border than any president ever and it isn’t even close. Obama was known as the deporter in chief. However, compared to Obama and Trump, Biden let way more criminals across the border and managed to deport a lot less of those same criminals. So says the New York Times fwiw.

This is the only part I was addressing.

You’re conflating all illegals and illegals that commit crime and are deported.
They are all illegals. They committed a crime when they illegally entered. This includes women and children. You don't get to pick and choose which crimes are real "crimes." Whether they qualify for asylum is a totally different issue, and very few of them do. However, the ones who then subsequently commit another crime, such as assault or rape or robbery, and the ones who are known gang members, are at the top of Homan's deportation list.

Unless you are trump....
