Listen, last night’s game can’t be overstated in terms of how huge it was. You could see from the get-go that this team has a ton of confidence—they believe in their shooting stroke, and shots are FALLING. Silas, Blue, and Asa have been absolutely huge over the last five or so games.
As for the NCAA Tournament, I know many have the Dawgs in after tonight, but I can’t go that far. Joe Lunardi currently has them in his "last four in" (just saw it on SportsCenter this morning). I believe last night’s win means the Dawgs no longer have to sweep Vanderbilt and South Carolina and win a game in the SEC Tournament. Now, I feel they can go 1-1, and even if they get bounced in the first round of the SECT, they’re still in.
Now… if the Dawgs do end up sweeping South Carolina and Vanderbilt, man, then I think it’s game on in terms of how high a seed Georgia can get. I definitely think an 8 or 9 seed would be on the table.
Just an amazing turnaround. Everything seemed to shift after that close game at The Barn. Credit to MW and these players for not packing it in and continuing to fight and believe—even when most of us fans had checked out.
