What the hell is wrong with you, man? You literally have no idea what you are talking about. He didn't kill someone because of smoking weed. You sir, should stay in your little hole a little while longer. Mental health problems is the issue here, not weed. On second thought, maybe you should work in the press.
Nobody has ever condoned smoking weed. We just don't think someone should be thrown in jail and their life ruined because people like you think its okay to drink, but are scared to death that pot is going to ruin your childrens life and cause them to smoke crack.
I condone smoking weed, do I win a prize for being first ? I see it as far less harmful than any other drug and shouldn't even be mentioned alongside history's #1 killer, alcohol.
I think it should be sold as a bonded product with common sense restrictions against selling to minors, using while performing dangerous jobs, driving, etc. Also whatever public area bans states and municipalities see fit to impose or employers want to put in place.

Now who's making a stupid argument ? Pot cost billions in policing and prison space now. Legalizing it won't make it worse on health, though it isn't a cancer-causer like tobacco and it damn sure doesn't cause TB, that's a strange claim. The billions in tax revenue plus the money saved by not policing it would be a big plus compared to now. Then there is the real crime caused by putting such a profitable product in the hands of true criminals that will go away overnight once the product can be procured through legal means.

OP has to be one of the dumbest post ever. Smoking weed doesn't make a person violent it actually chill them out. I know because I've smoked off and on since the mid 70's. In my opinion weed should be legal in all 50 states.

Two wrongs don't make a right. It's the same argument that can be made for cocaine, prostitution and pandering. Doing nothing always costs less. But, as usual you miss the point. It's not a question of which drug is better. Instead, the question is whether we want to introduce yet another drug into the culture. As it stands, there is no breathilizer for pot. Even Gov Moonbeam Brown says it's not a good idea to legalize it. Think about that for a moment.

Did you have parents or close family member that abused drugs? You know the drugs are just an inanimate object. Someone has to seek and put them into their body for them to do any harm. You know if you drink to much water it will kill you. You can't protect everyone by trying to remove any of this stuff from their sight. When someone wants to do something bad enough, they will find a way to do it. Hiding alcohol from an alcoholic doesn't work. The alcohol is not the problem. The person who is killing them self by drinking too much is the problem. Until they are fixed, there is no hope for them.
It's the same argument for guns. The gun itself is harmless.
