Okay, so our home has a 3000sf foot print…and is a ranch on a basement. My cable modem and wireless router are in the basement basically on one side of the house. I have used an extender before but with little luck. My daughters room is on main floor furtherest front the router. I have read recently that I should go away from the Comcast equipment and use my own modem and router and extender or such. Is this a fix I can do on my own, or would I be better off getting some pro help? If I can do on my own, will you all help me with what equipment to use…best/strongest…etc?
